FireSoft Business Aviator is customized for the Fire Protection Industry. The following is a brief description of the key features currently available to FireSoft/BA users.
Customer's and the management of customer systems and services are the central focus of FireSoft/BA. For each department at your organization their will be a tab on the customer screen.
In the case of Fire Systems of Michigan for example, FireSoft/BA has a Hood Systems, Extinguishers, Sprinkler Systems and Alarm Systems department tab for each customer.
Each department has access to their particular department tab (or more if you desire) so they can manage the customer's information for their particular department. If you don't have a separate manager for each department or have a central manager they are simply given access to whatever department tab you desire (or all of them).
Some general information that is displayed on the initial customer information screen includes information such as the Customer Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Contact, Phone, Fax, Billing Address, Email, Custom Filters and Map-Quest Link.
Also the current scheduled jobs/services and jobs/services due is displayed for each department services of the customer by your company.
Loads of Information specific to the system that department services can be recorded. For example, the Hood Systems department lets you record some of the following information about any hood system at a particular customer's location (with no limit on the number of hood systems at that customer):

You can also record any number of Hydro Dates, System Install Dates, Installer, UL 300 status, Upgrade Date, Upgraded By, and there are various notes sections for any other information.
Furthermore, each department's specific system information can be recorded for the following types of systems as well (on independent tabs)
Alarm Systems (System Types, Models, Panel Location, Monitoring Information)
Sprinkler Systems (System Type, Mfg/Model, Number of Risers, Riser Locations, Install Dates, Number of Gauges, Date Last Changed, Test Drain Location, Wet Trip Testing, Head Counts, Type of Fluid, Temps, and other notes)
Extinguishers (Record for multiple extinguisher locations, number of each type of extinguisher counted, lists of all previous counts, notes and more)
From each department tab there is also a Service Schedule that gives you the ability to schedule services as
- Weekly
- Bi-Weekly
- Monthly
- Semi-Annual
- Quarterly
- Yearly
Once a customers particular department has been assigned one of the service schedules above, a Services Due search screen gives you the ability to view all past, present, and future services that are due in a single department, in each department, or in all departments. This can save time if you have multiple departments handling each service whether its Hood Systems servicing, Alarms, Sprinklers, Extinguisher etc.
You can further record information about each particular service including
- Contact Person
- Contact Phone
- Scheduled Date and Time
- Bill-To information
- Price Estimates
- Service Duration
And one or more technicians can be assigned to each service.
The Services Due on a particular date can be reported on to give your technicians a list of jobs to be performed for a particular day, and to print inspection reports with details of the current recorded system information.
Also specific Hood System installations progress information can be recorded. Some of the Installation information that can be recorded includes:
Job Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Phone, Owner, Email, Fax, Filters, Contact, Contact Phone, Store Number, Billing Information
Further installation job-related information can be recorded such as
- Job Reference Number
- Customer Name
- Job Status (Install, Upgrade, Repair, Puff Test, and More)

Information about the system being installed is recorded for each system

Furthermore, each puff test can be tracked, dated notes recorded, some billing information recorded and a job worksheet with the entire installation job details can be printed and given out. Also a puff test report is included.

The search capabilities provide a simple yet extremely powerful interface so:
- You can search for Customers by name, address, phone, zip, department, system type and user-defined areas so you can group them into areas for easy scheduling and more.
- You can search for Services Scheduled by customer name, address, phone, zip, department, area, month, year and more.
- You can search for Services Due by customer name, address, phone, zip, department, area, month, year and more.
- You can search for Installation Jobs by customer name, job name, address, phone, zip, installation status, scheduled date, start date, system brand, system type, gas valve type, salesman and more..
Also a report can be generated for whatever records your search provided so you can analyze your data however you wish.

- The technicians can be given computer-generated reports that detail system information before they?re sent on the job.
- Reports can be generated with the information for each system a customer has.
- Reports can be generated in detail to display information about all jobs a technician has for the day, or in short so management can see where each technician is supposed to be at any given time throughout the day.
- You can easily view the number of services scheduled in each department for a given day, week, month, year or more.
- You can generate a report for deposits remaining on installation jobs.
- Furthermore you can generate a report for any search derivation you have defined to analyze your data.
